Yesterday we had a fun Bday party for mom at the park. Her girls made the food and decorated for the event. We had a fun time planning the party. I was in charge of the cake. I've always wanted to try fondant so this was the perfect opportunity. I made a regular cake as well b/c fondant doesn't usually taste very good, but everyone said that it tasted pretty good! :) Both cakes were a success. Here are a few pics from the process and the evening.
The dining room getting started
Lay out the rolled fondant on the first layer
Cut and attach the decorations with raspberry glaze
The finished product
Me and my two cakes for mom's bday
Mom and her Birthday Balloons... they were a hit.
Me and KeirraBelle hiding in the balloons. She's too sweet
The kids got to take one home!

I LOOOOOOVE your cake!!! I am so intimidated by fondant myself, but yours was quite impressive.
You girls are too sweet to do that for your mom. I know she felt so honored and loved.
